Many Indigenous Nations throughout Turtle Island (North America) share similar values. However, each Nation has unique beliefs, customs, and traditions so it is important not to generalize information learned about one Indigenous group to any other group. Families within each Indigenous Nation might also have their own traditions. The Klamath Tribes, located near giiwas (Crater Lake National Park in Oregon), is made up of three separate peoples (Klamath, Modoc, & Northern Paiute) and they each hold their own beliefs and traditional teachings about Two-Spirit people.
